Every homeowner has to decide for themselves what they would do if a threat approaches or enters their home.  Multiple studies have shown that 64% of the people surveyed would choose to barricade in place and call 911.  The other 36% would choose to leave their bedroom and investigate.  In either scenario, you must get to the door, to either lock and wait for the authorities or to go through the doorway and investigate.  For these reasons, storing your firearm behind the door seems to make sense.

You will also find that the doorway can always be identified even in the darkest conditions.  Therefore, if you can get to the doorway and get one hand on the door handle, you can easily find the firearm with the other hand.  Storing the firearm behind the door gives you the best of both worlds, it is visually out of sight most of the time, but easily and reliably found even in the dark when you need it in a hurry.

I was just like the guy in the video throwing clothes looking for my pistol.  Now I know right were it is.  Bought another dock for out TV room and it's great because it's in the same spot in both rooms so I don't have to think about it.

Perfection!!

I used to have 5 or 6 guns all around the house.  Now I just have one and I move it around.  The rest went right back in the safe, now only one can be stolen if they break in while I'm gone.

HGHA3 and extra dock

Having an extra dock looked cool on the site, but once I got it and saw how it pops in and out, it's a must have. Put the extra in my shop so I just take it in at night.

Love it!  One of those so simple why didn't I think of that moments.  I'm a single mom and I love the fact that it stays out of sight out of mind just hanging behind my bedroom door, but if I need it in a hurry I know exactly where it is.  Gonna buy one for my parents.

I store my 38 under my pillow for many years.  I guess I'm lucky it never accidentally went off while I was dreaming.  Now it's on the door and I love it. The location gives me options depending on the situation.  Never go back to the pillow.
